Pope Francis’ truth telling about the Armenian Genocide represents a powerful challenge to Turkey, executive director of the Armenian National Committee of America said.
“Pope Francis' truth telling about the Armenian Genocide - on Armenian soil - represents a very powerful open challenge to Turkey's denial of truth and justice for this crime,” said Aram Hamparian in an interview on EWTN Global Catholic Network's Nightly news, broadcast to over 250 million homes in some 140 countries.
Hamparian went on to urge US leaders to follow in Pope Francis' footsteps and reaffirm the Armenian Genocide through passage of the Armenian Genocide Truth and Justice Resolution (H.Res.154).
