Work is underway in Kayseri, Turkey, to convert an Armenian church into a library.
The Kayseri Municipality decided to turn the Surp Asdvadzadzin (St. Mary’s) Armenian Protestant Church, which served as a gymnasium for 40 years, into an open civic library that will be open 24 hours, according to Agos Armenian bilingual weekly of Istanbul.
This library is expected to contain 50 thousand books.
