The EU is extremely worried about the arrest of pro-Kurdish deputies in Turkey, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said calling for a meeting of EU ambassadors in Ankara, Reuters reported.

“We expect Turkey to safeguard its parliamentary democracy, including respect for human rights and the rule of law, and we are conveying these expectations directly to the Turkish authorities,” Mogherini said .

As it was reported earlier, 11 pro-Kurdish deputies, including two cochairmen of HDP were arrested in Turkey on Friday.
