“We truly wish to implement a major project in connection with tourism,” said Karapetyan. “We believe [that] Armenia is underestimated as a country of tourism. [But] in the near future, the cheap airline service and the granting of some privileges to Russian citizens will contribute to the growth of the [tourism] sector [in Armenia]. But, we also need to provide quality services.”

The interlocutors also discussed the state of the historical and cultural monuments and monasteries in Tavush Province, and their preservation and maintenance.

Separately, the PM underscored the progressive plans toward improving the quality of education in this province, and based on modern technology.

The Premier also noted that the government will repair the roads in Armenia’s border communities, but by priority.

“We have a special attitude toward border villages, and we are not speaking in the language of business,” stressed Karen Karapetyan. “We have mandatory things to do here.”
