STEPANAKERT. – Aggressive statements by Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev once again prove who we are dealing with, spokesperson for Karabakh president Davit Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The head of state who is publicly making such statements, suggests drawing parallels with the situation in Germany in the late 30s of the last century. It is clear what this [the statements] led to. The Azerbaijani leadership does not have to forget this in the long run. Such statements do not compliment to a normal person,” Babayan said.

He added that Karabakh will enhance combat readiness of the armed forces, will strengthen the border and prevent any aggressive moves by the adversary in order not to make “the military rhetoric come true.”
