About three hundred deputies of the Egyptian parliament have expressed solidarity with the draft decision on the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Egypt Chapter Honorary Chairman, Berdj Terzian, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.
In his words, the deadlines for adopting the resolution depend on the further state of relations between Egypt and Turkey. If the tension rises, the process of the Armenian Genocide recognition may accelerate. Otherwise, the process may slow down.
“But sooner or later the resolution will be adopted. The Egyptian authorities also want this,” Terzian noted.
