YEREVAN. - French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charpentier has made a statement in regard to the decision to hold the next summit of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) in Armenia.

The statement published by the French Embassy in Armenia reads:  ''The 16th La Francophonie summit held in Antananarivu unanimously passed a decision on holding the next summit of the heads of the International Organisation of La Francophonie states in 2018 in Armenia.

I warmly congratulate Armenia on such decision and for its commitment in regard to the values and ideas adopted in favor of La Francophonie.''
