After Donald Trump had von the US presidential elections, dollar rose to a record rate in Turkey, which made the President Erdogan make an announcement. As the Turkish Cumhuriyet reports, the Turkish President has urges the citizens who have savings in dollar to exchange them to Turkish lira or buy gold.

Erdogan's statement has not helped to keep the rate of the Turkish lira. It has continued declining against dollar on December 2. After the US elections, the Turkish lira has been depreciated by about 14 percent.
