YEREVAN. – The opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) has petitioned its former chairman, tycoon, and MP Gagik Tsarukyan, with a request that he return to active politics.

“Considering (…) the request and wish by tens of thousands of our compatriots, (…) the need to ensure great societal and political consolidation in our country, (…) the imperative of addressing—with solely large consolidation—the key internal and external challenges of the country, (…) [and] that, with Tsarukyan leaving active politics, no other [political] figure and political force was able to fulfill the task of much needed societal and political consolidation, the PAP Political Board (…) [hereby] petitions to PAP Founding Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan to discuss the matter of returning to active politics, and (…) resolving the problems facing our country,” the respective Prosperous Armenia Party Political Board statement reads, in particular.
