Russia continues supporting Palestine in its aspiration to create its own state.

Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department of Russian MFA, Sergey Vershinin, told the aforementioned to RIA Novosti.

''We will continue standing for the realization of the Palestinians' national aspirations. This is in line with the task of forming conditions for turning the Middle East into a region of stability,'' Vershinin said on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

In his words, ''Moscow supports the principled stance of the Palestinian leadership headed by President [Mahmoud] Abbas in favor of the peaceful settlement [of conflict] with Israel.''
