The deployment of the Russian Nebo-M radar complex at the 102nd Russian Military Base in Gyumri, Armenia, would be very logical, according to an article in Military Thought monthly.

As per the writer of this article, the deployment of this complex in Armenia will be a proper response to the Israeli Green Pine radar which Azerbaijan has acquired, and Nebo-M will monitor the huge airspaces above Turkey, Iraq, Syria, and Georgia.

Furthermore, this radar complex will immediately record any unauthorized action by the NATO and the Israeli tactical air force, at the Middle East.

The Nebo-M radar complex is distinguished by unique indicators for its class.

The article adds that, as a small-target detection method, the Nebo-M performs several times better than the Israeli EL/M-2084 radar complex (Iron Dome).
