U.S. President Donald Trump had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during which they discussed he importance of strengthening the U.S.-Israeli relationship, Reuters reported.

President Trump confirmed his unprecedented commitment to Israel's security and emphasized that the fight against ISIL and other radical Islamist groups is a priority for his administration. He also stressed that peace between Israel and the Palestinians could only be negotiated between the two parties, but that the U.S. would work with Israel to achieve that goal.

U.S. President invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to visit the White House in early February.
