Contract serviceman of the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Karen Ulubabyan, who was killed by the Azerbaijani armed forces on Sunday, took part in drawing back the diversionary infiltration attempt by the adversary in August 2014.
Governor of Martuni region administration, Karen Tovmasyan, told Armenian News – NEWS.am that Ulubabyan was passing a compulsory military service in 2014. The youth then got involved in voluntary military service.
Karen was the eldest son in the family: He also had a sister and brother. The latter serves in the same military unit.
Karen Ulubabyan was fatally wounded by the Azerbaijani side at about 11:25 pm on Sunday.
