US Navy has tested the Trident II ballistic missiles.

The tests were conducted from a submarine off the coast of California, reported CBS San Francisco Bay Area.

US Navy representative John Daniels informed that the local residents probably have seen the first phase of launch, which lasted about a minute, and possibly—a part of the second phase.

He noted that all tests were carried out from the water, the missiles flew over the water and fell into the ocean, and they did not cross over land and were not armed.

Seeing the mysterious streak of light by these missiles, however, some locals thought they had seen a UFO.
