YEREVAN. - It is necessary to increase the number of contract servicemen in Armenia.

Former Defense Minister of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, said the aforementioned speaking at the first congress of Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance on Saturday.

In his words, the average salary of contract servicemen should reach 240,000 AMD.

 “The average salary of the commissioned staff should reach 480,000 AMD. This will cost the budget 50 billion AMD. Thanks to this, we will increase the attractiveness level of military service and improve the social status of our command staff,” Ohanyan stressed.
