A criminal group involved in illegal sales of radioactive materials was detected in Turkey after numerous press reports saying that black market of radioactive materials is located in the country.

As a result of operations conducted by Turkish gendarmerie in four provinces 25 people were arrested and radioactive materials amounting 12 m lire ($9m) were found, Dunyabulteni reported.

Selenium 74, other radioactive materials and weapons were discovered.
