A French citizen was abducted in the city of Abéché in Chad, on Thursday morning, according to RFI. "We apply all the means to release him," said the French Foreign Ministry.

Last time, it was in 2009, when a French was abducted in Chad. He lived 89 days in slavery of the Sudanese radical group. Another French, the human rights activist who helped children suffering from malnutrition, Sophie Petronin, was abducted in the northern part of Mali on December 2016. No  group has claimed a responsibility for her abduction so far.
