Armenian will for the ninth time join the Earth Hour global movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature.

The first action was held in Sydney back in 2007 when over two million people switched off electricity to shine a light on the need for climate action.

This year the action will start Saturday 8:30 p.m. local time.

Earth Hour was first celebrated in Armenia in 2008. The event was organized by WWF-Armenia.
