The US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, announced his readiness to respond to the questions of the Senate’s Intelligence Committee within the framework of the investigation of Russia’s intervention into the US elections, reports CNN, referring to the White House.

"Throughout the campaign and transition, Jared Kushner served as the official primary point of contact with foreign governments and officials," the White House spokesman told CNN in a statement. "Given this role, he has volunteered to speak with Chairman Burr's Committee, but has not yet received confirmation."

Earlier, The New York Times had informed about the intention of the Committee to question Jared Kushner, who is also an advisor to the US president, about his meeting with Sergey Kislyak, the ambassador of Russia to the US, and Sergey Gorkiy, the head of  Vnesheconombank.
