YEREVAN. – The Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, on Wednesday received the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) election short-term observation mission head, Ignacio Sánchez Amor.

Nalbandian recorded the effective cooperation between Armenia and the ODIHR, and underscored the latter’s current 11th observation mission in the electoral processes of Armenia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, he stressed that extensive electoral reforms were implemented in Armenia, and with the assistance of international organizations.

Sánchez Amor, for his part, presented the ongoing OSCE/ODIHR activities toward observing Sunday’s parliamentary election in Armenia.

FM Nalbandian, in turn, reaffirmed the Armenian authorities’ determination to conduct the forthcoming election in accordance with international standards.
