The first passenger jet has landed at the airport of St. Helena island for the first time since the airport was built, RIA Novosti reported quoting the Times.

The airport has been named the most useless because its construction cost around 285 million pounds. The first plane landed a year after the construction was completed.

The plane with 60 people on board has arrived from the South Africa.
