YEREVAN. – All changes for the better in the world begin from a person, Academy Award-winning actor George Clooney.

Clooney, who is also Co-Chair of the Aurora Prize Selection Committee, said he is sorry not being in Yerevan during the Aurora Prize awarding ceremony this year.

“However, believe me, I'am with you in my soul,” Cloonet said in a video message.

Speaking about the prize, Clooney noted that this year’s contenders inspire him. Every day we hear about wars, clashes, but I do not want us to focus on suffering, we want to hear about people who help others, Clooney said.

The actor called for the creation of a global humanitarian union, adding that this is the duty of each of person.

There must be a generation that understands that we should not only think about ourselves. All the changes for the better in the world begin with a person, he added.
