YEREVAN. - Students of National Polytechnic University of Armenia will do an internship in the mines of Armenia and Karabakh.

The respective agreement was reached between the University, Union of Miners and Metallurgists of Armenia and Vallex Group.

The students will do an on-the-job internship in Kashen copper deposit in Karabakh, as well as Teghut’s copper molybdenum and Alaverdi’ copper smelting plants (both of them are in Lori province of Armenia).

Senior students with highest academic performance will leave for the internship.  “In fact, they are calling not only metallurgists but also power and mechanical engineers. Of course, this is a little far from Yerevan, so not every one would like that. But I think there will be volunteers,” Dean of Mine and Metallurgy Department of the Polytechnic University, Albert Frangulyan, told Armenian News – NEWS.am
