YEREVAN. – Eight of the contracted servicemen, who were injured when a bus—which is registered at the Ministry of Defense (MOD) of Armenia—overturned Saturday in Gegharkunik Province, are being transported to capital city Yerevan.  

Artsrun Hovhannisyan, spokesperson of the minister of defense, wrote about the above-said on his Facebook page.

Accordingly, two of the servicemen being transported to Yerevan are in severe moderate condition, and one of them has sustained fractures. The others are in satisfactory condition. 

As reported earlier, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the accident took place at around 8:30am, on the Vardenis-Shorzha motorway.

The bus went off road and slid about six meters into the nearby little gorge. Fourteen passengers suffered injuries and were rushed to Vardenis town military hospital. Two of them, however, did not wish to be hospitalized.
