YEREVAN. - Armenia can become a platform of cooperation between NATO and Russia, founding director of the Regional Studies Center (RSC) Richard Giragosian said on Wednesday, speaking at the conference entitled “NATO - from Warsaw to Brussels. Human Security and Security Sector Reform in Armenia.”

In his words, the exchange of experience, as well as the reforms in the Armenian armed forces aimed at increasing the level of education and its modernization plays an especially important role in the Armenia-NATO relations.

“Armenia is a reliable NATO partner, whereas a number of member states, for instance Turkey, are becoming more unreliable. Besides, Armenia can become a platform for the cooperation between NATO and Russia. After all, we receive our weapons from Russia and gain experience from NATO,” Giragosian stressed.
