The death toll from a strong earthquake in China has risen to 32, reported the China Central Television (CCTV).

According to the information, 142 houses were destroyed and another 1,060 were damaged as a result of this seismic activity.

The 6.6-magnitude quake hit the Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, at 7։27am local time.
