Voting in Iraq's Kurdistan public referendum for secession from Baghdad was extended for an additional one hour on Monday, said the supreme referendum commission which also announced that the voters' turn-up has climbed to 75 percent, KUNA reported.
The commission said in a statement that it had decided to prolong the voting process to 7 p.m., after the voters' turn-out soared to 75 percent in all towns in the Kurdish region.
