NATO's Joint Warfare Centre in Norway has issued a letter of apology to Ankara over the drills in Norway during which the country's leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Erdogan were allegedly depicted as “enemies”, Daily Mail reported

“The incidents were the result of an individual’s actions and do not reflect the views of NATO,” said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, adding that the individual in question was immediately removed from the exercise.

Earlier, Erdogan had stated that Turkey had withdrawn 40 soldiers from a NATO military exercise in Norway, after the country's founding leader and he were depicted as “enemies”. The leadership of Turkey supported this decision.
