According to a recent survey that was conducted in the United States, the smartphone users, who formerly did not comprehend “smartphone addiction” and its consequences, are beginning to realize the seriousness of the situation, according to Vesti.ru.

In line with the 2017 Global Mobile Consumer Survey, a total of 47 percent of Americans aged between 18 and 75 are making a conscious effort to reduce or limit the duration or frequency of smartphone use.

But overall, the number of times users look at their phones has remained nearly constant for the past three years, at approximately 47 times per day.

The average number of downloaded and used applications on smartphones shows that the activeness of smartphone usage is close to its possible limit, and it has increased between 22 and 23 applications in the year past.

Two-thirds of the respondents, however, do not plan to give up their already steady habit of getting a new smartphone every two years.
