Lenar Safin,  the Minister of Transport and Roads of Tatarstan—a federal subject of Russia, told Tatar-Inform news agency that flights are scheduled to be launched next year between Kazan—the capital and largest city of Tatarstan—and Belarus, Armenia, and Georgia.

“We aim to expand the geographical scope of flights [to and from Tatarstan], and seek to better connect Tatarstan with other countries,” stressed Safin, “that is, to noticeably increase the number of [our] international partners.”
