YEREVAN. – The vision on one eye of military serviceman Narek Hoveyan—who was wounded in a landmine explosion in the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR)—is partially restored.

His mother, Seda Ghukasyan, informed about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“He will be discharged [from the Ministry of Defense Central Clinical Military Hospital in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan] in the coming days, so that we continue the treatment at the Ophthalmological Center After Malayan [in Yerevan], or, if necessary, abroad,” she added.

The soldier’s mother noted that his other injuries are healing in a normal way.

Ghukasyan added, however, that his son still does not know about the death of his fellow servicemen.

One of Narek Hoveyan’s eyes was removed at the military hospital in the NKR capital city of Stepanakert; but there is hope that his other eye will be saved.

As reported earlier, Gegham Zakaryan (born in 1995), Sargis Abrahamyan (born in 1998), and Sargis Melikyan (born in 1997) died on November 21, in a landmine explosion at the protection area of an NKR Defense Army unit. And serviceman Narek Hoveyan (born in 1998) was wounded in the explosion.
