Former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili said he would continue a hunger strike if he is taken back to jail.

The court on Kyiv is expected to make a judgment on pretrial restrictions for Saakashvili on Monday.

“I am not afraid. I showed how a president can work, and I will show how a president can die.  If they take me back to prison, I will go on hunger strike till the end. But, everyone will know who is behind the murder,” he said.

Saakashvili, who is also former governor of Odessa region, was detained on December 8. He was first detained on December 5, but his supporters managed to release him from a police vehicle.
