France is Armenia's most important partner, our peoples have been connected to each other for several centuries, and this connection is becoming stronger in recent years, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview with L'Express, during his visit to France.

According to Sargsyan, Armenia hopes that French President Emmanuel Macron will contribute to the further development of Armenian-French relations.

“For 25 years now, Armenia and France have established diplomatic relations, which are growing from year to year. Our peoples are connected with each other for several centuries, and this connection is becoming stronger in recent years, especially in the economy, culture, science and education,”said Sargsyan.

The Armenian President also noted that France is the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair.

|France is Armenia's most important partner. On November 24, 2017, Armenia signed Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement with the EU, which opened up new prospects for us and opportunities for further development. The result of this agreement will be the abolition of visas for Armenian citizens."
