The Summit of La Francophonie is very important for us, we have worked over this for a long time and organized a grand event, it is a good opportunity for us to represent Armenia to the whole world, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said in an interview with L'Express during his visit to France.

According to him, Armenia will do its best to make it a success, especially considering that half of the world's states will attend the event in Yerevan, most of them at the level of Heads of State and Government.

“Francophonie is not only a linguistic community for us, but also common values around which humanity is developing and to which Armenia and France have a common approach. The motto is “Vivre Ensemble” (“To live together”), which means the respect for other fundamental human rights and freedoms, social solidarity, peaceful coexistence, equality between men and women and providing opportunities for youth. Within this event, there will also be a big economic forum that will unite Francophonie businessmen, and will become the basis for a large international economic network,” said the Armenian President.
