YEREVAN. – The main theme of the International Organisation of La Francophonie Summit, which Armenia’s capital city Yerevan will host in October, will be “Living Together.”

Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian on Friday stated the abovementioned at his joint news conference with visiting FM Henry Rabary-Njaka of Madagascar.

“In this sense, Armenia is one of the best examples,” Nalbandian noted. “About two-thirds of Armenians live in 100 countries around the world and are an example of successful integration.”

In his words, not solely the French language, but also common cultural values unite the Francophonie family.

The Yerevan Pact, or the Living Together Pact, document will be submitted to the Summit participants.

“I hope that it will be approved and will become one of the main documents for the future activities of the organization,” added the Armenian FM.

In his words, economic activity is also of great importance for La Francophonie countries; and in this connection, a business forum is slated for October 10, along the lines of the Summit. As per Nalbandian, a network of business ties is planned to be set up with the countries of the Francophonie.
