YEREVAN. – Armenia recorded a growth in a number of crimes related to corruption, Attorney General Arthur Davtyan said in the parliament when presenting the report on activities for 2017.

Overall, 163 cases of taking bribe was registered last year, a 130% increase as compared to 2016.

“Last year the charges were brought against 599 people, among them 101 officials. Overall, 1,005 criminal cases were launched,” Davtyan said, adding that 45 police officers were among those charged.
