Police officers in Cizre, Turkey, caused a huge lineup outside one of the town’s currency exchange offices, as they were exchanging their savings in US dollars into Turkish liras, according to Cumhuriyet newspaper of the country.

The Cizre police chief said with this step they were expressing support to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s call to exchange dollars and thus protest against the US sanctions on Turkey.
