YEREVAN. – There is no concern, since everything went well in the pre-election phase.

Artak Avetyan, the mayoral contender whom the Reformists’ Party has nominated in Sunday’s snap election for the capital city Yerevan Council of Elders, told about the aforesaid to reporters. He noted this reflecting on Saturday’s police search at an election campaign office of the Prosperous Armenia Party.

In Avetyan’s view, law enforcement agencies should deal with such incidents.

“What’s going on, all abnormal phenomena in my city certainly worry me as a Yerevan resident, and as a citizen,” the mayoral nominee said. “As for the rest, everything went quite smoothly, within the framework of civilized conduct, and [my] deep gratitude to the media for equal coverage of all political forces [running in the Yerevan city council election].”

When asked what he was voting for in this election, Avetyan responded that he was casting his ballot for a green Yerevan, clean and fresh air in the capital city, and a prosperous future for children, friends, relatives, and, in general, all residents of Yerevan.

“We all picture one city,” he explained. “We are all one organism, one body, and we all need to carry out a shared work for the capital city of all Armenians. We all need to develop, improve our city, and make it the best city in the world.”
