If “Russia continues its malicious activity” on the international scene, the US will impose more sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s close contacts.

US Treasury Secretary Marshall Billingslea, who oversees the Treasury and Counterterrorism Finance Department at the Treasury Department, on Wednesday stated the aforesaid at the ongoing hearings in the US House of Representatives, Deutsche Welle (DW) reported.

“We have decided that the core of the malicious Russian behavior is unacceptable,” Billingslea added, “and we will cause the [Russian] President’s close circle to pay the costs.”
