YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday met with Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev, along the lines of the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States, in Tajikistan’s capital city of Dushanbe.

Pashinyan noted that bilateral state relations continue to develop between the two countries, and he underscored their economic cooperation, press office of the government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Also, he expressed a conviction that the deepening of business ties will contribute to the increasing of trade and economy.

In addition, the Armenian PM underscored the development of cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Eurasian Economic Union, and the CIS.

Nazarbayev, in turn, noted that trade between the two countries grew by around 60 percent in the year past, and expressed a conviction that this trend will be continued. In his words, Kazakhstan is open for Armenian businesses and goods, and he noted that the two sides have good opportunities for expanding and developing their ties.

Separately, the Kazakh president said Armenian-Azerbaijani relations are not normal, and added that Kazakhstan is in favor of resolving matters through peace talks.

Nikol Pashinyan and Nursultan Nazarbayev also discussed the agenda of Armenian-Kazakh relations, and the development cooperation within integration organizations.
