YEREVAN. – The elite of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has finally decided to run in the snap parliamentary election hoping to be at least the fourth political force and be represented at parliament, Zhamanak (Time) newspaper reported.

“It is also just about known as to what the first five on the party’s proportional [representation] list will look like.

“The list will be headed by Former Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, next are [National Assembly (NA) Vice President and former Justice Minister] Arpine Hovhannisyan, [RPA MP and former Justice Minister] Davit Harutyunyan, [NA Vice President] Eduard Sharmazanov, [and RPA MP and former Education and Science Minister] Armen Ashotyan.

“Former Mayor of [capital city] Yerevan Taron Margaryan also could to be on the list,” Zhamanak wrote.
