A magnitude 7 earthquake occurred early Friday morning in Greece, in the Ionian Sea.

The epicenter of this tremor was about 35km of the coast of the island of Zakynthos, The Associated Press reported. 

According to the local authorities, no major damage was reported in the island, but power was lost in its capital city and main town, also called Zakynthos.

Also, the earthquake caused an about 20cm tsunami, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
