YEREVAN. – A meeting of the group of La Francophonie ambassadors who are accredited in the Netherlands was held Monday in The Hague. At the event, Armenia’s Ambassador Tigran Balayan presented the results and related events of the 17th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), which was convened in October in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

The ambassador noted that Armenia did everything to hold this summit at a high level, and he said all guests who arrived in Armenia for this event had left Yerevan with high spirits and a wish to visit again, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Balayan reflected also on the documents that were adopted as a result of the OIF summit in Yerevan, and on the future roadmap of this organization.

The Armenian ambassador added that the economic forum—which was convened within the framework of the OIF summit in Armenia—enabled to establish partnerships with economic territories, and to create a digital technology network between the ministers of La Francophonie countries.

In addition, the Armenian diplomat spoke about the priorities and initiatives of Armenia’s chairmanship at the OIF.

And after his remarks, Tigran Balayan responded to the queries posed by the ambassadors in attendance.
