It is clear that there is a dialogue between Yerevan and Baku, and it is in progress, the spokesperson for the Russian foreign office Maria Zakharova said commenting on the statement adopted by the foreign ministries on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council.

“There is a dialogue, and no formal statement is needed here,” Zakharova stated.

She added that Russia, being one of the co-chairs, will actively support positive momentum to achieve the main goal.

Asked what is implied by the call to prepare nations to peace, the spokesman said that it is a package of precise measures, and the OSCE Minsk Group and the parties have to handle it.

As to whether the Karabakh issue will be discussed during Russian FM Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Baku, Zakharova said the settlement of this conflict is always one of key topics during the trips to the regions.
