Armenia Police officer Gurgen Tumanyan, 43, on Sunday died in hospital.

He had been hospitalized after a major road accident on December 2, in Syunik Province, shamshyan.com reported. 

On that day, two cars had crashed on the Yerevan-Meghri motorway, in the administrative area of Tsghuk village.

Both drivers as well as three passengers were injured and taken to the military hospital in Aghitu village.

Two of the injured were police officers.

Doctors said three of the injured were in very critical condition.
