YEREVAN. – The Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFAs) of Armenia and Greece held political consultations in the Greek capital city of Athens. 

The Armenian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Garen Nazarian, the MFA of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The interlocutors discussed the Armenian-Greek bilateral political agenda, and exchanged views on the prospects for further deepening of their cooperation in several domains.

Reflecting on Armenia-European Union (EU) cooperation, Nazarian presented the process of implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement, and underscored the need for the Greek legislature to ratify this document as soon as possible.

The parties touched also upon the start of discourse on EU visa liberalization for Armenian citizens, as well as on several regional and international matters of mutual interest.

At the request of the Greek side, Garen Nazarian presented the latest developments regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) peace process.

The Armenian and Greek delegations conferred also on cooperation and mutual assistance between the two countries, at multilateral formats and within international organizations.
