YEREVAN. – Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said there have been nothing new about Artaskh.

According to him, in Milan, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on a statement, something which has not happened for a long time.

“There have been a lot of such statements in 24 years. Is there anything new on Artsakh? No, there is nothing new. Activeness is to an extend that you know. If we compare with the past 25 years, the activity can be considered slightly higher than low. Andrzej Kasprzyk visits the region occasionally,” Pashinyan added.

He noted, that the regional trips of Kasprzyk, personal representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office are strictly working ones, and they had not been often covered. However, by order of Pashinyan, all contacts will be covered.

As to the statements by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Pashinyan said that he was surprised by the comments of experts from the Armenian side who strive to see an intrigue in any optimistic statements from the opposite side.

“This is despite the fact that they themselves are talking about creating a chance for the settlement of the conflict. And they cannot imagine an option that, perhaps, the Armenian government managed to bring convincing arguments,” the acting PM said.

As to the remark that the suspicion is caused by the fact that the Azerbaijan side is the first to make a statement, Pashinyan emphasized that no Armenian government had been as transparent on the Artsakh issue as the incumbent one.
