Trade talks between the United States and China formally started in Beijing, RIA Novosti reported.

Last week China's ministry of commerce said the American delegation will travel to China on January 7-8.

President of Chinae Jinping promised to solve the situation with the trade imbalance and begin to purchase significant amounts of agricultural and other goods from the United States. American President Donald Trump agreed not to raise the tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese exports by 10% to 25% if the parties manage to agree on a certain range of issues within 90 days.
