YEREVAN. – We don’t imagine major reforms and further development in the domains of science and education, without large financial investments.

Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, an MP from the majority “My Step” Faction and ex-Minister of Diaspora, on Wednesday said the aforementioned at the continuing first sitting of the new National Assembly of Armenia.

As per Hayrapetyan, even though the budget has been cut down in view of the existing realities, they are not going to submit to this fact.

“I’ll fight—and I’m confident that you also will fight with me—so that great attention is paid to the education sector—[and] in the form of allocating funds from the state budget, as well as by way of drawing investments,” the candidate for chairperson of the respective parliamentary standing committee explained. “To that end, corresponding legislative conditions need to be created.”
