YEREVAN. – When we say that the draft on the change in the government makeup is at the phase of discussions, we don’t say it to evade, but it’s really at the phase of discussions.

President of the new National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, on Friday told the above-said to reporters in parliament.

In his words, they are intensively discussing this matter—both in the executive and with a legislative-executive format, but there truly is no final decision at this time.

“My impression is that we will bring up the draft on the [new government] structure at the first session,” Mirzoyan added. “But I don’t rule out that we might not bring [it] up.”

Pursuant to the bill on making changes in the makeup of the government, the number of ministries in Armenia are planned to be reduced from seventeen down to twelve.
